Mrs. Bertha Ann Walker

Visitation for Mrs. Bertha Ann Walker, 91, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.  Mrs. Walker passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Adams Health and Rehab.  She was born on September 5, 1921 in Town Creek, Alabama to Thomas Green Etheredge and Bertha Weems Etheredge.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Alexander City.  Mrs. Walker loved children and reading.

She is survived by her daughters, Emily Crisler (Clifton W.) of Alexander City, Anita Hussey (James) of Prattville, Alisa Shivers (Herbert) of Auburn, Ellen Daniel (Bill) of Anniston, Amy Walker of Montgomery, and Endora Spradlin (Tim) of Prattville; sons, Jack S. Walker of Kellyton and Andrew E. Walker (Karen) of Logansville, GA; grandchildren, William F. Crisler (Joelle), Stacey Jones (Bart), Alexa Brooks, Kevin Crisler (Elisa), Tiffany Pugh (Matt), Casey Maxwell (Ray), Heather Weldon (Michael), Michael Walker (Emily), Thomas Crisler, Nicholas Spradlin, Ann Spradlin, Wendy Noble, Jody Smith (Chris), and Dawn Butler (Brett); great-grandchildren, Meagen Crisler, Erin Hendrix, Kimberly Combs, Clayton Pugh, Caleb Crisler, Amanda Combs, Ryan Jones, Elijah Pugh, Katlyn Smith, Madison Smith, Emily Jones, Grayton Brooks, Kirkland Pugh, Hayden Walker, Auburn Weldon, Natalie Walker, Anslee Weldon, Matthew Pugh, Mattie Pugh, Baier Brooks, Audrey Grace Weldon, Callen Butler; sister, Marie Lawrence of Lockport, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Frederick Walker; son, Thomas Frederick Walker, Jr.; grandchild, James Hussey, III; sisters, Grace Etheredge, Stella Montgomery, Ellene McIntyre, and Nina Belle Fritz; and brothers, Theron “Bud” T. Etheredge and Thomas G. Etheredge.
