Need for blood never takes holiday

Published 11:36am Saturday, March 23, 2013

Dear Editor,

As we approach the long Easter weekend and many of our public schools and colleges are enjoying a spring break, we at LifeSouth invite all of our donors to donate blood and share the gift of life during this holiday time.

With many of our regular donors traveling, and without the boost from high school blood drives, we often experience donor shortages each spring.

The need for blood, however, never takes a holiday.

Our local hospitals are counting on LifeSouth and our donors to make sure there is enough blood for accident victims, cancer patients, newborn babies and whoever might need it.

A small investment of your time could make a lifetime of difference for someone here in our community.

Please donate blood today.

Sincerely,

Tasha Lamb Cooper
