Alexander City man arrested on drug charges

Multiple controlled buys and physical surveillance has led to the arrest of an Alexander City man.

Andre Moore, 26, was arrested March 21 and charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug  paraphernalia and having a pistol without a permit.

Authorities also seized 110 grams of marijuana, $955 in cash and a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Moore was transported to the Tallapoosa County Jail without incident.

The arrest was a joint effort among the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, Crime Interdiction Task Force and ABC enforcement.
