A day in the life

Published 11:43am Saturday, March 23, 2013

The Jim Pearson Elementary Ambassador Club spent the day with leaders throughout Alexander City Friday.

Students visited City Hall, Carlisle Drugs, the Alexander City Police Department and the Chamber of Commerce during their monthly club day.

“Jim Pearson focuses on the Leader in Me Program,” said Susan Kelly, a sponsor of the club. “We wanted to give our ambassadors a chance to see what the city leaders do.”

Students learned about the different departments with a tour of City Hall and question and answer session with Mayor Charles Shaw, ate lunch with the chamber of commerce and learned about the Alexander City K-9 Unit.
