The streak ends at eight for the Benjamin Russell Lady Wildcats soccer team.
The girls lost to Prattville and Pell City this past weekend, dropping their record to 8-3.
The Lady Wildcats offense, which had been prolific to this point in the season, was held scoreless in both games.
Prattville and Pell City each scored two goals against BRHS.
“Prattville is a good 6A school,” BRHS girls soccer co-head coach Sammy Teel said. “It was a physical contest.”
Teel said that the effects of the game versus Prattville carried over to Pell City and affected the girls’ level of play.
“To me, it looked like they play tired (versus Pell City),” Teel said. “They’ve got to learn to get back up for the next game. They didn’t do a good job of that this time out.”
The Lady Wildcats have a few days off before their next game.
Carroll-Ozark comes to town on Friday night as area play begins for the Lady Wildcats.
The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
“We’re going to go back to work,” Teel said.
