Mr. James Robert Bailey

A memorial service for Mr. James Robert Bailey, age 78, of Alexander City, will be held at 2PM Sunday, March 3, 2013 in the chapel of Bass Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Bass and Minister James Cullins will officiate.

Mr. Bailey passed away on February 28, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Talladega County on March 6, 1934 and Vernie Bailey and Myrtle Smith Bailey. Mr. Bailey served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Malinda Jane Bailey of Alex. City; one son, Rodney Bailey (Courtney) of Madison, AL; one daughter, Sandra Murphy of Alex. City; one step-daughter, Terri Whetstone (Mike) of Sylacauga; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and special friends, Jim & Kim Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Myrtle Bailey; one son, Jimmy Ray Bailey; one brother, John Bailey and one sister, Elise Clemens.
