Six arrested in drug bust

Six individuals were arrested Monday after law enforcement executed a search warrant at an Alexander City residence.

Investigators seized five grams of marijuana, 10 grams of methamphetamine during the raid and charged the individuals with a total of 15 charges ranging from resisting arrest to drug-related offenses.

All suspects arrested were Alexander City residents.

Terry Britton, 47, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April Dunham, 41, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

Britney Martin, 27, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Hailey Britton Fomby, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wade Champion, 47, and Jeffery Ray Price, 49, were each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance.

The Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, Crime Interdiction Task Force and New Site Police Department all participated in this operation. The operation began after the New Site Police department received initial information regarding the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics.
