Funeral service for Mr. Timothy Wayne Barrett, 50, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Rev. Mike Jones will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mr. Barrett passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Russell Medical Center.  He was born on April 9, 1962 in Alexander City, Alabama to Henry Howard Barrett and Vertice Amelia Keel Barrett.

He was a member of Old Providence Baptist Church.  Mr. Barrett graduated from Benjamin Russell High School and worked at Russell Corp. for 22 years and Honda for 8 years.

He was a hard working, strong, loving man and was supportive of his family and loved them unconditionally.  Mr. Barrett always gave good advice, was a jokester, and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brenda Gail Bice Barrett of Alexander City; daughter, Mindy Korin Jones (Paul) of Dadeville; sons, Corey Versho Barrett (Tanya),  of Hackneyville and Christopher Michael Bice (Tracey) of Illinois; grandchildren, Alyssa Gayle Bice, Conner Wayne Bice, Sara McCoy, Kyle McCoy, Benjamin Barrett, Milly Ingram, Landon Jones, Wesley Hanson, and Canyon Jones; mother, Vertice Amelia Keel Barrett; sister, Deborah Mask (Tommy) of Hackneyville; brothers, Stanley Barrett (Janet) of Florida and Steve Barrett (Linda) of Alexander City; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Howard Barrett.

The family will receive flowers or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054-C McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
