The National Honor Society held the sixth annual King of Hearts Pageant Saturday night in the auditorium at Benjamin Russell High School.

Many parents and students attended the charity event, which benefits the American Heart Association. The pageant earned close to $1,500 for the AHA.

Kenan Strong (middle), who went by the stage name Kenya, was named the 2013 King of Hearts. Darvin McDaniel, who adopted the persona of nautically-themed ‘Bon-Bon Voyage,’ was named prince of hearts, while Bryant “Brytina” Horn was crowned duke of hearts. The pageant also named the jester, or crowd favorite, an honor claimed by Matt “Ilene Dover” Wilson.
