‘Cats drop BTW 70-59 in tourney

The Wildcats of Benjamin Russell downed Booker T. Washington in the Class 5A, Area 5 tournament, 70-59.
Ronnie Stacy led the team with 19 points. He also had eight boards and six helpers.
Javoskie McNeal and Woo Varner each recorded double-doubles against the Golden Eagles.
McNeal had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Varner had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
“It was a good win for us,” BRHS boys basketball coach Jeff Hines said. “I’m proud of our guys.”
The Wildcats will play for the  area title on Monday night at 6:30 p.m
