Mr. Vinton Dale Hill

Funeral Services with military honors provided by the Alexander City Honor Guard, for Mr. Vinton Dale Hill, age 87, of Alexander City, AL will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bass Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Bass will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 from 5-7pm at Bass Funeral Home.

Mr. Hill fought a long hard battle with Alzheimer’s and passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at his residence and he will be greatly missed. He was born in Clay County on September 5, 1925 to Dallas Hill and Cassie Sims Hill. He served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as an electrician with Russell Mills for most of his life.

He is survived by his son, Rodger D. Hill of Alex City; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Cassie Hill and his wife, Dorothy Hill.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Alacare Hospice. Seeing the nurses and knowing you were there for all of his needs made his day and you helped fill a void that just one person could not fill. You are all greatly appreciated.
