Funeral services for Lorenzo “Blo” Valentine of Dadeville, AL, was Monday, January 28, 2013, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at 11AM.  Burial was in Dadeville City Cemetery.  Revs. James Taylor and Freddie Senn officiated.  Visitation was from 4-6PM, Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Langley Funeral Home.

Mr. Valentine was born on November 3rd, 1922, to the late Pete and Mary Valentine and passed away on January 26, 2013, at the age of 90.  He was a faithful and active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He loved his church family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his sister America Armstrong and his brother Paul Valentine. He is survived by his wife Florence Valentine of Dadeville, AL; daughters Patricia Ogburn (Steve) of Eclectic, AL, and Olivia Taylor (Danny) of Opelika, AL; grandchildren Steven Ogburn (Beverly) of Auburn, AL, Eric Ogburn (Beth) of New Orleans, LA, Daniel Taylor (Sarah) of Birmingham, AL, James Taylor (Hilary) of Columbus, GA; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or donations to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  Langley Funeral Home of Camp Hill, AL is handling arrangements.  www.langleyfuneralhome.com
