Up, up and away

Published 11:33am Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Students at Jim Pearson Elementary School celebrated the 100th day of school by releasing 100 balloons yesterday.

Each balloon had a note that explained where the balloons originated. The cards also had contact information for the school so the school can be reached if a balloon is found.

Although the students enjoyed the event, it wasn’t all fun and games. Teachers also used the day as an opportunity to teach math lessons.
