Little Caesars to open soon

Pizza pizza is coming to Alexander City.

Little Caesars will offer a new option for pizza in Alexander City when it opens in the old Taco Bell location on U.S. Highway 280, near the intersection of Highway 280 and Lee Street.

“It’s probably going to be roughly three weeks,” said James Whitley, Support and Development Manager for Bravo Food Service, LLC. “That could possibly change.”

Whitley said the new opening in Alexander City has been a work in progress for about a year. Considerations included whether there were enough people to support the business and whether other similar businesses were seeing success in Alexander City.

“Anytime we go to a new town or are looking at a building, the building is obviously the most important thing,” Whitley said. “When you get the information, you present it to corporate … we have to stay in compliance with corporate Little Caesars.”

The Taco Bell building was vacated in 2011 when Taco Bell opted to moved to its current location on Highway 280.

Whitley said the variety of other pizza options in Alexander City was not a deterrent.

“The other pizza companies can’t really compete with us,” Whitley said, citing Little Caesars commitment to quality and speedy service. “We’ve pretty much got the market cornered.”
