- Alexander City firefighters and members of the city council stand in front of ACFD’s newest addition to its fleet. The 102-foot ladder truck cost $699,000, but the truck is expected to be in use for some 30 years. The new ladder truck replaced an older model that had been mostly out of service for the past four years. The council approved the financing agreement for the vehicle at Tuesday’s meeting. | Austin Nelson
