Homegoing celebration for Christine Williams Smith, age 62, of Sylacauga is Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Kendell Burton, pastor and eulogist. Christine resided in Alexander City for 15 years before returning to Sylacauga in 1987.  The close of life came on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at her residence. Mourners include  children, Felton Hicks, III (Cheryl), Bridget Burroughs (Cedric), Terrian P. Hicks and Antonio H. Hutchins; mother, Flora L. Williams, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grand, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Another quality service by The New Madden Funeral Home, 256-249-3815.
