Funeral service for Mrs. Iris Adelle Prickett Brown, 99, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Lee will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hackneyville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at her residence.  She was born on May 15, 1913 in Clay County, Alabama to Monroe Jefferson Jones and Nonnie Caroline Alford Jones.
She was a member of Hackneyville Baptist Church and loved her church.  Mrs. Brown enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, watching the Lawrence Welk Show and game shows, fishing, traveling, and going to water aerobics.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Gaston (Donnie) of Alexander City, Iris Dean (Joe) of Mims, FL, and Mary McConnell (Bobby) of Lithia Springs, GA; 11 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Mary Alma Waldrop of Pell City and Maxine Gamble of New Site.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Leonard Prickett; second husband, William Donzie Brown; son, Oliver Leonard Prickett; daughter, Faye Gilbreath; her parents; brothers, Ivan Jones and Melvin Jones; and sisters, Alverine Waldrop and Gaynelle Jones.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Hackneyville Baptist Church, 9149 Highway 63 N, Alexander City, AL, 35010-9644.
