Search nets two arrests

Two Alexander City residents were arrested Wednesday following the search of a Kellyton residence.

Jeremy Brian Lashley, 37, of Alexander City, was arrested on existing warrants for three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Jessica Lacey Milner, 29, of Alexander City, was arrested on one count of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime.

Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and the Coosa County Sheriff’s Deparment served the warrants to a residence on U.S. 280 on Wednesday.

During the search, investigators located methamphetamine and items used in the distribution of the controlled substance.

According to a press release issued Thursday, warrants for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia will be obtained through the Coosa County Sheriff’s Department. The investigation into the distribution and possession of illegal narcotics in Tallapoosa County is ongoing.
