Undercover car struck

Published 12:30pm Thursday, December 20, 2012

An undercover law enforcement vehicle was damaged in an accident at the intersection of Highway 280 and Highway 63 Wednesday evening.

No official details were immediately available, but the traffic accident occurred at roughly 6 p.m. and appeared to involve a bronze GMC 3500 pickup truck and this silver Ford Crown Victoria LX, which was struck in the passenger side doors.

The wreck apparently did not cause any major injuries.

The Crown Victoria was fitted with flashing blue lights in the rear windshield and flashing taillights that were operating after the accident. More than a dozen police, sheriff and rescue vehicles responded to the scene.
