Rangers start season 5-0

Lyman Ward basketball has started the 2012 season 5-0 with wins over Trinity Academy (78-49), Faith Christian (88-28), Chambers Academy (77-49), and Cornerstone Christian Academy (60-45).
The Rangers went on to defeat Springwood Tuesday night at home 50-21.
The Rangers are off to a hot start with guard Dillan McMullen averaging 16.3 points per game, 10.2 assists, and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Charlie Bunteen is averaging 14.8 points, 5 assists and 7.5 rebounds.
Jared Gustin is averaging 12.4 points, 11.8 assists, and two steals.
And lastly, Emperor Phillips is averaging just under 15 points per game,13 rebounds and three blocks per game.
Phillips, a freshman at Lyman Ward, is putting up an impressive amount of points per game at the AISA level.
“I’m proud of what these guys have accomplished so far and the hard work that they are putting in,” said LWMA head coach DeWayne Thomas.
“We’ve still got work to do, but a 5-0 start is what we were hoping for.”
