Tywone Stewart earns AHSAA Spotlight Honors

Reeltown High School senior tailback Tywone Stewart earned Alabama High School Athletic Association Spotlight Honors for his third round performance last Friday night in the Class 2A state playoffs.
Stewart rushed for 248 yards on 18 carries and four total touchdowns in the victory over Woodland High School.
The senior has earned Spotlight Honors earlier this season for his performance in week seven against Montgomery Academy when he rushed for 266 yards on 17 carries.
With his performance against Woodland, Stewart is now the leading rusher in the local area for the 2012 season and will finish on top being that the Rebels are the only tam left in the state playoffs.
On the season, Stewart has ran for 1,726 yards on 192 carries and 29 total touchdowns.
Stewart will have to have another strong game from night when the Rebels will host No. 1 Tanner High School at Nix-Webster-O’Neal Stadium in Reeltown.
Stewart was an All-Outlook performer and All-State candidate in 2011 and has been a two-time member for the Outlook Super-12 team before the start of the past two seasons.
Kickoff for tomorrow night’s game is set for 7 p.m.
