Funeral service for Mrs. Emma Corinne Morgan, 88, of Goodwater, will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Dr. Albert Pike will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Morgan passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Goodwater Healthcare Center.  She was born on November 15, 1924 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Walter H. Davis, Sr. and Emma Carden Davis.  She was a longtime member of Ray Baptist Church.  She loved her church dearly and had been a Sunday school teacher and was involved in the WMU.  Mrs. Corinne worked for Russell Corp. for 45 years.

She enjoyed sewing and had made many clothes for her children and grandchildren.  She was an excellent cook and could make the best tea cakes.  She was a very strong lady and loved her family very much.

She is survived by her sons, Charles “Ricky” Morgan (Cathy) and Curtis “Buddy” Morgan (Pam), all of Alexander City; daughter, Shirley Ogburn (Mike) of Vestavia; grandchildren, Michael Ogburn (Jennifer), Michelle Currin (David), Holly Weaver (Darian), Brandon Morgan (Lisa), Krystal Jackson (Jason), Ricky Morgan II (Brandi), Josh Morgan (Emily) and Shannon Dye (Kelly);  fifteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; brother, Christopher Davis (Freddie) of Dayton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Hoyt Morgan; daughter, Betty Elizabeth Dye; sisters, Earline Carter and Virginia Isabell; brothers, Walter H. Davis, Jr., Royce Davis, Robert Davis, Thomas Davis, Boggie Davis and Horace Davis.
