Tallapoosa Co. holiday closings

With the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching, most area businesses are closing their doors for a four-day weekend.

The Tallapoosa County Courthouses in both Dadeville and Alexander City will re-open Monday in accordance with their regular business hours.

Alexander City Hall and Dadeville City Hall will re-open on Monday as well.

Alexander City Chamber of Commerce will close both Thursday and Friday with regular business hours on Monday.

The Dadeville Chamber of Commerce will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving and will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday.

The Adelia M. Russell Library and Mamie’s Place Children’s Library  will close Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will re-open Monday during regular business hours.

The Dadeville Public Library will close all day Thursday and Friday and will open again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.

All area banks including Aliant Bank (both locations on Lee St. and Aliant Pkwy.), Regions Bank, Wells Fargo (both locations on Hwy. 280 and Jefferson St.), PNC Bank in Dadeville will close just on Thursday with normal business hours on Friday. BB&T Bank and Mutual Savings Credit Union in Alexander City could not be reached by press deadline.

All United States Post Offices in Alexander City, Goodwater, Camp Hill, Jacksons’ Gap and Dadeville will close on Thursday and will resume regular hours on Friday.

Advanced Disposal garbage service customers will close Thursday for Thanksgiving and will resume routes on Friday.
