Jack N. “Big Red” Kimbrel

Mr. Jack N. “Big Red” Kimbrel, 67, of Dadeville passed away on Saturday, November 10 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City.

A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13 at the funeral home at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Litsey officiating. Burial will follow at Tallapoosa Co. Memory Gardens.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 12 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Kimbrel is survived by his wife: Barbara Kimbrel, two sons: Jeff (Tina) Kimbrel of Auburn and Jamie Kimbrel of Dadeville, four grandchildren: Jessica Kimbrel, Jacob Kimbrel, Ben Kimbrel and Hannah Kimbrel, one great-granddaughter: McKenzie Kimbrel, one brother: Earl “Speedy” Kimbrel of Dadeville, five sisters: Jean (Fred) Andrews of Jacksonville, Fl., Joyce (Billy) Coker of Dadeville, Rachel (Doug) Baker of Dadeville, Joan (Sandy) Ellington and Dean (Paul) Valdes both of Bessemer Al., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kimbrel was preceded in death by his parents Clayton (Dorothy) Kimbrel and one brother: Bobby Kimbrel.

Mr. Kimbrel was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served in the Vietnam war and was a recipient of the purple heart. He will be remembered as a very loving and respectable person to everyone that knew him.

Alabama Funeral Homes in Dadeville is handling arrangements.
