Memorial service for Mrs. Donna Grace Shaw, 82, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Rev. Clyde  Coker will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11 am at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shaw passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.  She was born on December 17, 1929 in Tomah, Wisconsin to William Earl Rawhouser and Norma Purdy Rawhouser.  She was a longtime and active member of First Presbyterian Church in Alexander City. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.  Donna was a Civilian English Teacher on the military base in Okinawa.  She also taught school for many years at the Russell Afternoon Program.  She also enjoyed doing crafts and water aerobics.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Stalker (Steven) of Calera; granddaughter, Chloe Allen of Calera; sisters, Joyce Bunker (Bill) and Carol Pitel (Jack), both of Wisconsin; brother, Ward Rawhouser (Ruth) of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty years, Richard Allen “Buck” Shaw; sister, Lynnette Kurandt; and brothers, Delbert Rawhouser, Donald Rawhouser and Norris Rawhouser. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association or to the Boys & Girls Club of The Lake Martin Area.
