Dadeville High School senior quarterback Kaleb Beck and Horseshoe Bend High School senior linebacker Luke Holt both earned Alabama High School Athletic Association Spotlight Honors after week four of the season.
Beck, who is a two year starter for the Tigers under center, threw for 321 yards on 12-of-23 passing for three touchdowns in last Friday night’s 42-6 win over Childersburg.
The quarterback connected with junior runningback C.J. Tolbert for 150 yards and senior wide receiver Terry Toler for 115 yards as the Tigers rolled to a 4-0 record in 2012.
Holt had one of his best performances in his two years as a starter with a 61-33 win over Isabella last Friday night on the road.
Holt tallied an impressive 19 total tackles and had one stop behind the line of scrimmage in the Generals’ victory.
With the performance, the HBHS senior linebacker is now the top ranked tackler in the local area headed into week five of the season with 55 total tackles, one ahead of Dadeville defensive tackle Rod Crayton.
