Camp Hill PD makes arrest for attempted murder
Published 8:13am Saturday, September 15, 2012A Camp Hill woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder and second-degree assault, according to the Camp Hill Police Department.
Shaburta Curry, 22, of Camp Hill was arrested when she appeared in Camp Hill Municipal Court on unrelated charges.
The attempted murder and assault charges stem from an altercation that occurred in the Camp Hill Housing Authority’s apartments Sept. 11.
CHPD Chief Roosevelt Finley said Curry is currently being held at Tallapoosa County Jail. Bond has been set at $150,000.
Finley said the case is still under investigation and more charges could be pending.
CHPD is still seeking additional witnesses to the events that occurred that night and is asking anyone with information to contact the department at 256-896-4411.
