Members of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce are hoping the community will become more informed after an Eggs and Issues Breakfast on the topic of the Alabama Medicaid Amendment.outlook
“We’d love to have a good crowd so that we can become educated on the issue and get all the answers,” said Chamber President and CEO Marvin Wagoner.
The breakfast will at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on 64 Court Square in Alexander City at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 6.
“Mr. Jim Peace will speak on the behalf of how Medicaid will be affected with or without the transfer of the general trust funds,” Wagoner said.
State Representative Mark Tuggle will also speak at the breakfast, and Wagoner said there will be time for citizens to ask questions and learn the pros and cons of voting for or against the amendment.
Wagoner said they have had an Eggs and Issues breakfast any time there is “a good topic that’s pertinent that we need to talk about right away,” Wagoner said.
The breakfast is $8 for chamber members and $12 for the general public. Reservations are required by Sept. 4 and can be made by calling 256-234-3461, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by going by the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce.
