Drive-By Truckers is spending Labor Day on Lake Martin.

The alternative country-rock band will be the main act for the Labor Day Weekend Concert at the Lake Martin amphitheater on Sunday, Sept. 2.

The concert will also feature the Futurebirds, Keller Williams and special guest Alexander City native, Kyle Wilson.

“I’m very excited about the lineup start to finish,” said Robert Gunn, Russell Lands’ director of events and social media. “I think it’s one of the better lineups we’ve had.”

Gunn said he believes the concert will offer something for everyone for a good value.

“People in the community are really excited about the variety, and the value of this event at just $25 per ticket is really high,” Gunn said.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and the show starts at 5:30 p.m. All tickets are general admission and are $25.

“Tickets sales have really picked up over the last few days,” Gunn said.

Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.lmat.org or by visiting the Russell Crossroads Adventure Center or the Russell Lands Corporate Office. Tickets will also be available the day of the event.

Gunn said the event will be held rain or shine, but they are expecting good weather by Sunday.

“I’m really excited,” Gunn said. “It should be a great weekend for all events.”
