Lyman Ward Military Academy will be the first local team to kickoff the 2012 season when they line up against Macon-East Academy this coming Friday night in Camp Hill.
The Rangers won their scrimmage game over South Montgomery Christian Academy last week by a score of 21-8.
Quarterback Charlie Bunten was the spearhead of the offense for Lyman Ward, as the signal caller threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns.
The athletic duo of Dillan McMullen and Zach Thompson both had deep touchdown receptions for the Rangers, something that LWMA will hope to take advantage of Friday night.
Macon East finished last year 2-8, but defeated Lyman Ward 41-14 in the seventh week of the season.
Lyman Ward finished the 2011 season 1-9 in AISA-AAA.
