DPD seeks driver in hit-and-run death

A Dadeville resident was killed in a hit-and-run accident Monday, but police don’t know who or what type of vehicle struck the man.

Billy Ray Hatcher, 46, was found dead around 9:05 p.m. at the intersection of US 280 and Thweatt Industrial Boulevard.

According to a press release, Dadeville Police said they believe Hatcher was attempting to cross US 280 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle heading east.
