Sunday crash in Coosa Co. sends two to hospital

A two-car accident on U.S. Highway 280 left two people injured Sunday morning.contains

According to State Trooper Kevin Cook, a 1996 Subaru driven by Memphis, Tenn., resident Sory Conde collided with a 2006 Suzuki driven by Raymond Andrew Howard from Huntsville at 10:07 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 280 and CR 87 in Coosa County.

The accident caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest in a ravine on the side of U.S. 280.

One vehicle was flipped onto its passenger side door, while the other remained upright.

Conde’s passenger, Kadiatou Diallo of Ensley, and Howard’s passenger, Joseph Harris of Kellyton, were injured in the crash.

Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the local hospital, Cook said.
