Central Alabama Community College tennis is off to a consistent start at the national tournament in Tyler, Texas.
No. 1 singles player Maggie Dowling, No. 2 singles player Qurat Rai and former Dadeville star Katelyn Lowe all won their first singles matches of the tournament, while Dowling and Rai fell in the second round.
The Lady Trojans have accumulated 16 total points so far in the tournament, which they earned a bid to with a second place finish in the ACCC conference two weeks ago.
Among the other team events, Central Alabama head coach Kathleen Thompson was inducted into the NJCAA Women’s Tennis Hall of Fame earlier in the week.
The Lady Trojans will be competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association national tournament throughout the week in Texas, as those interested in following CACC tennis online can do so at
