Lady Trojan softball splits

After sweeps over Chattahoochee Valley and Wallace State last week, Central Alabama Community College softball split with Enterprise State this past weekend at home.
Enterprise took the first game of the series by a commanding 13-1, while Central Alabama scored two runs in the eighth inning to claim a 10-9 victory Saturday afternoon.
CACC (25-11) scored five runs in the game to get back within striking distance before the teams took an 8-8 tie into extra innings.
Central Alabama got two hits apiece from Hillary White, Kimberlyn Gillock, Jessica Mathews, and Callie Loper.
Loper also added four RBIs in the game, while Kendal Coker and Mathews both had two RBIs apiece as well.
Alyssa Kornegay went six innings pitched with five strikeouts and allowing nine hits.
Blair Byrom went the final two innings on the mound for CACC, allowing four hits and two runs on one strikeout.
Central Alabama currently sits at 7-3 in ACCC play.
