Accident causes gas leak

The area around ASA Salon and Spa was evacuated after a truck drove off Cherokee Road, careened through the bushes and struck a gas line outside the building.

The truck was driven by Johnny Ross Hill, 75, of Equality. Hill was taken from the scene by ambulance for evaluation, police said.

Gas department personnel on the scene said that the gas leak caused by the accident was sealed.
