Wakeboarders from across the region showed up last Friday at Blue Creek Marina for some free instruction and a chance to demo the Ronix line of wakeboarding gear.

Lake Martin wakeboarding instructor Sawyer Davis said that riders of all skill levels showed up to the event, which featured free instruction from the Singleton Marine Group. Three boats took riders around, with boarders getting a chance to hit the water once in the morning and then again during an afternoon set.

“We had everything from people who had never gotten up on a wakeboard, to more advanced riders doing quite a few invert tricks,” Davis said. “We let them try out the different boards and get out on the water to do some riding.”

While Davis said most everyone seemed to enjoy the gear, the Ronix One was the crowd’s favorite to ride.

Davis said that this year was the first season for Blue Creek Marina to carry the Ronix line, and so far, he’s been pleased with the company.

“It’s been a really good year so far–we’ve sold out of all the Ronix Ones we had in the shop,” Davis said. “They have a pretty diverse line, and so far I’m really impressed with the product.”
