New recycling center coming to Dadeville

Published 6:23pm Wednesday, June 29, 2011

The Dadeville City Council met Tuesday night and voted to allow a recycling center to be put on Horseshoe Bend Road.
Recycle center owner, Jerry Rainwater, said he is grateful the council accepted his proposal.
“We would just like to clean up Dadeville and get all the junk out of Dadeville and that would be money, revenue for Dadeville,” Rainwater said in a previous meeting.
Rainwater said the center would only recycle metal including material such as automobiles, washing machines, dryers, stoves, microwaves, etc.
In other council business, the council also voted to apply the Sales Tax Holiday to the city for Aug. 5-7.
