The Lake Martin Regional Industrial Park is located on 327 acres in Kellyton, just a few miles west of Alexander City.
“We’ve got four lots available of 10 acres each with utilities and all the infrastructure in place,” said Don McClellan, executive director of the Lake Martin Area Economic Development Alliance.
“Also, we have 231 acres undeveloped that could be one tract for the right tenant or broken into different lots as needed.”
There are two buildings available in the park now.
A 60,000 square foot speculative building with ceiling height of 28-32 feet has utilities and is accessible from the existing roadway.
A 10,000 square foot finished building, formerly a call center, has standard utilities and redundant electrical infrastructure (generator) as well as fiber optics.
“We’ve got a half million gallon water tank on site and a package sewer plant that can handle 35,000 gallons per day,” McClellan said. “The four-lane access road to the park is built for truck traffic.
“There’s pond and fountain at the park entrance that creates a beautiful entryway. You don’t normally have a pond at the entrance of an industrial park, and it helps identify the park from Highway 280.”
Plans are in the works to continue beautifying the entranceway during 2011 with brick paving and landscaping, including adding trees and signage for the companies located in the park.
“The park is strategically located between Honda, Hyundai and Kia, which makes it an ideal location for automotive suppliers,” McClellan said.
The Lake Martin Industrial Park is a cooperative venture between the City of Alexander City and Coosa County. Local governments, in partnership with the Lake Martin Area Economic Development Alliance, have designed and installed the park’s infrastructure includes utilities, roadway, industrial water tank capacity, necessary lot grading and an onsite package wastewater plant.allied
