Generals rally in fourth to beat Bears

In the boys consolation round of the Tallapoosa County Basketball Tournament, HBHS turned a three-point deficit after three quarters into a three-point win. The Generals edged the Bears 43-40 for their second close triumph over Edward Bell this season.

HBHS led 23-20 at halftime, but trailed 31-28 going into the fourth.

Jay Glenn led a balanced HBHS attack with 12. Kendall Thomas was next with seven, while four players — Josh Martin, Nick Morris Matthew Oliver and Brandon Thomas — all scored four points. Chase Cheaney had a big three in the fourth quarter for his only bucket.

Freshman D.J. Black, Eddie Webb and Akeem Holloway finished with 11, 10 and nine points, respectively, for Edward Bell.
