Help me thank General Motors

Published 6:00am Monday, June 14, 2010

Dear customers and friends,

I am pleased and relieved to be able to tell you that General Motors has reversed its decision to terminate Darwin Dobbs Co and has agreed to reinstate our franchise agreement for the Buick and GMC brands. This agreement allows our dealership to continue to sell these “World Class” automotive products and we will be able to continue to provide warranty service for General Motors brands and models. I am truly humbled by the number of you who took the time to write General Motors on our behalf. There is no doubt that your letters were directly responsible for General Motors’ change of opinion on the termination of our dealership. I cannot thank you enough. We will now be able to celebrate our 75th anniversary as a General Motors Dealer at the end of September of this year.

This has been a perfect example of why Alexander City is a great place to live and work. When the support of the community is need, it is there for you – a luxury that you will not find in many places.

The following were the decision makers for reinstating our dealership. If I may ask, would you please send them a note of thanks for saving a business and jobs in Alexander City.
