The NJCAA District & Region Championship at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville was no problem for the nation’s third-ranked team, as the Central Alabama golfers took home the trophy by shooting a three-round total of 4-under-par, 11 shots better than second-place Meridian.

The Trojans now turn their attention to the NJCAA D-1 National Championship on May 18-21 in Huntsville, where they will aim for their sixth national title and first since 2000.

The Trojans shot rounds of 282, 285 and 281 (2-under, 1-over, 3-under) to hold off Meridian, who shot the lowest round of the tournament (278) in the final round. CACC led by nine shots after the first round and 12 entering the last round.
