CSI: Alexander City

On Friday afternoon Charley Lutz leaned over a coffee mug, using a feather duster and black powder to reveal several fingerprints on the white ceramic handle.

Lutz was participating in a class on crime scene investigations at William L. Radney Elementary School. Several investigators from the Alexander City Police Department spoke to about a dozen students about surveillance and identification methods.

“Basically we showed them what we had to have to develop cases,” Sgt. Jay Turner said. “Most of them did real well.”
