Funeral services for Robert Lee Sprayberry, 81, of Goodwater will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Goodwater Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Fain will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Goodwater Baptist Church.

Mr. Sprayberry died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1923, in Coosa County to Noah Edmond Sprayberry and Mittis McMullin Sprayberry. He worked for Alabama Power Company for 31 years and was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church where he was treasurer of the Men’s Adult Sunday school class. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a sports fan (Auburn) and a cattle farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Nell Sprayberry of Goodwater; two sons, Robert Steve Sprayberry and wife Jenean of Montgomery and Ralph Edmond Sprayberry and wife Glenda of Hoover; four grandchildren, Scott Sprayberry and wife Beth of Auburn, Paige Sprayberry of Hoover, Stacy Sprayberry and wife Alisa of Alabaster and Sally Sprayberry of Hoover; four great-grandchildren, Mary Grace Sprayberry, Tucker Sprayberry, Ellie Sprayberry and Hutch Sprayberry; one brother, Harold Sprayberry of Goodwater and one sister, Nannie Mae Bohannon of Goowater.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Goodwater Baptist Church, P.O. Box 283, Goodwater, AL 35072.
